neon signs
Svenska Neonskyltar
Svenska Neonskyltar is a beautiful site of neon signs by Freddy Johansson. My Swedish is a little shaky, but it looks like he has been taking photographs of these signs, many of which have since been removed, since 1996.
The signs are grouped by city and, given the length of the list, this seems like quite a project! Personally, I would recommend people check out the signs from Eskilstuna, especially the one depicting a spilling paint can (the sign’s direct translation is colour house
.
Seeing someone catalog an interest like this is always so inspiring. The time and effort to work on this project must have been outstanding. I must admit though, thinking of all the travel has me itching to jump on a plane.
